ARK Trilobite Spawn Command

Completely passive — does not fight back when attacked. Functions as a renewable, easy-to-find source of Chitin, Oil, Silica Pearls, and Black Pearls in shallow water and on beaches. Cannot be ridden. Trilobite is a carnivore. Cannot fight back, so they pose zero threat — the danger is following them into Spino territory. Tamed only via Fish Basket introduced in the Aberration DLC. Tamed individuals do not eat meat despite the Carnivore classification, and cannot be bred.

Walk up and hit it with a melee weapon or harvest tool. Use a Pick for more Raw Meat and Silica Pearls; use a Hatchet for more Chitin and Oil. A Diplocaulus deals 5x damage to Trilobites, kills them in one hit, and auto-harvests the corpse — by far the most efficient harvesting method. Taming uses a Fish Basket (passive capture), but tamed Trilobites eat berries despite the dossier calling them carnivores and serve only as pets/distractions. Herd them into a corner or against water's edge before striking — they flee toward water when hit and swim faster than they walk. Do not chase them into deep water where Spinosaurs or other predators patrol. The Diplocaulus harvesting method yields high quantities of Chitin, Silica Pearls, Oil, and Black Pearls at speed. Avoid venturing into caves for Chitin if Trilobites are accessible nearby — they are the easiest above-ground alternative.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Trilobite_Character_C to spawn a wild Trilobite in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Trilobite_Character_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use the builder above, or cheat gmsummon "Trilobite_Character_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level. ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

Yes. The builder above generates a single SpawnExactDino command that bakes the level and the imprint into one copy-paste line. The saddle comes as a separate cheat gfi command (it can't ride inside the spawn). To set its colours, spawn it first, then use the ARK Dino Color Builder to build the SetTargetDinoColor commands (with a live preview).

summon drops a wild Trilobite at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify, the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.

Yes. Trilobite has 1 spawnable variant (Aberrant Trilobite). Each has its own class name, in the builder's Variant dropdown and the variants table.
