ARK Unicorn Spawn Command

A rare variant of the Equus with identical stats and combat abilities, including the Equus's kick and rear ability. Shares the Equus's weight reductions: carries Achatina Paste, Cactus Sap, Cementing Paste, Clay, and Sand at 80% reduced weight; Chitin, Keratin at 50% reduced weight; Stone at 50% reduced weight. Unicorn is a herbivore. Only one wild Unicorn exists at a time on The Island (multiple may spawn simultaneously on Valguero and Crystal Isles). Passive tamed with Rockarrot or Simple Kibble — using a Tusoteuthis to grab it will kill it instantly. Cannot be tamed using knockout methods.

Ridden without a saddle (no saddle required). Combat and movement controls are identical to the Equus. All Equus commands, weight reductions, and combat mechanics apply directly. No unique abilities beyond the Equus baseline — its value is rarity and prestige. Tamed via passive feeding while wearing Ghillie Armor: crouch-approach, feed Rockarrot or Simple Kibble from your last inventory slot. Only one wild Unicorn can exist at a time on most maps. On single-player, cryopod your tamed Unicorn and wait 24 real-time gameplay hours before another wild one spawns. Primarily used for prestige and display; the weight reduction on cement-paste materials makes it a decent pack animal for mid-game resource runs. Can breed with other Unicorns but not with standard Equus. Wild Unicorns have a yellow outline in Tek Helmet scan mode — use this to locate them.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Equus_Character_BP_Unicorn_C to spawn a wild Unicorn in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Equus_Character_BP_Unicorn_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use cheat gmsummon "Equus_Character_BP_Unicorn_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level — ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

summon drops a wild Unicorn at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify — the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
