Spawn a tamed Wyvern at any level

gmsummon spawns it already tamed. Set the level below — it's the pre-tame level, and ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus on top, so the final creature lands higher. Change the number, copy, paste.

On a server, every line needs the cheat prefix and a one-time enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword>. The class name Wyvern_Character_BP_Fire_C is what ARK calls the Wyvern internally; its full blueprint path is /Game/ScorchedEarth/Dinos/Wyvern/Wyvern_Character_BP_Fire.Wyvern_Character_BP_Fire.

ARK Wyvern FAQ — Ability, Uses & Spawn Commands

What does the Wyvern do in ARK?
Wyverns each have a unique elemental breath attack: Fire Wyvern uses a short-range cone of fire that applies a damage-over-time burn; Lightning Wyvern fires an instant-hit beam with high DPS at decent range; Poison Wyvern shoots a projectile that creates a toxic gas cloud ignoring armor; Ice Wyvern breathes a short-range cold stream that deals damage and slows targets. Wyvern is a carnivore (adult; babies/juveniles/adolescents require wyvern milk exclusively until adult stage). Cannot be knockout-tamed as adults. Must steal a fertilized Wyvern Egg from a nest (guarded by wild Wyverns), hatch it, and raise it on Wyvern Milk (obtained by knocking out a female Wyvern). Found on Scorched Earth, Ragnarok, Valguero, and other maps depending on type. Maximum wild level is 190.
How do you use the Wyvern's ability in ARK?
While mounted, activate the breath attack with Right Mouse Button (PC) / LT / L2. The wing-swing melee is activated with C on the ground. Breath attacks are available while airborne or landed and are used continuously by holding the button. Lightning Wyvern has the highest combat DPS for most situations due to its instant-hit beam. Fire Wyvern's DoT is excellent for sustained damage over time. Poison Wyvern's armor-ignoring cloud is strong against heavily-armored players and tames in PvP. Ice Wyvern's slow is a utility tool for kiting. Level Health and Melee Damage as primary stats. Unlike standard knockout tames, Wyverns do NOT receive a taming level bonus — the baby hatches at the SAME level as the egg that was stolen, so always steal the highest-level egg you can find. Imprinting significantly improves all stats.
What is the Wyvern good for in ARK?
Air combat, transporting players and cargo at high speed, raiding (breath attacks hit structures), boss fights (Lightning and Fire variants), scouting. Cannot be used as a shoulder pet. Excellent carry weight for transport.
What is the Wyvern spawn command in ARK?
Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Wyvern_Character_BP_Fire_C to spawn a wild Wyvern in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Wyvern_Character_BP_Fire_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.
How do I spawn a tamed Wyvern at a specific level?
Use cheat gmsummon "Wyvern_Character_BP_Fire_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level — ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.
What's the difference between summon, SummonTamed and gmsummon?
summon drops a wild Wyvern at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify — the one most people want.
Do ARK spawn commands work in single player and on servers?
Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
Are there other versions of the Wyvern?
