ARK Ammonite Spawn Command

Cannot be tamed or ridden. When attacked or killed it releases pheromones that apply a Rage effect to nearby creatures, turning them aggressive toward whatever triggered the pheromones — useful for luring dangerous animals to a specific position. Its shell reduces incoming projectile damage by 80%. Ammonite is a n/a (untameable). Completely untameable and unrideable. Dropping or killing it releases pheromones that aggro nearby creatures for 60 seconds.

You cannot mount or control an Ammonite. Exploit its pheromone release by deliberately provoking it near a creature you want to lure or agitate. Kill it to harvest its resources. Kill Ammonites for their drops rather than attempting to use them as allies. The pheromone effect can be a tactical tool to redirect dangerous underwater fauna away from you, but the range and unpredictability require care. The 80% projectile damage reduction means ranged attacks are largely wasted — use melee.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Ammonite_Character_C to spawn a wild Ammonite in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Ammonite_Character_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use the builder above, or cheat gmsummon "Ammonite_Character_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level. ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

summon drops a wild Ammonite at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify, the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
