ARK Megalodon Spawn Command

Bites apply the Gnashed bleed, which drains up to 5% of a victim's max health over five seconds and cannot be negated by armor. When near allied Megalodons, each additional pack member (up to 8 total) grants +28% extra Melee Damage and +8.5% damage resistance. Megalodon is a carnivore. One of the highest pack-buff ratings in the game. The bleed kill does not award XP — a notable mechanic distinction. Found in all ocean zones across maps.

Bleed is applied automatically on every bite attack (left-click/RT/R2/ZR) — no special activation. Pack boost is passive and activates automatically when allied Megalodons are nearby. No radial menu ability confirmed. Tamed by knockout in shallow coastal water — lure them into the shallows using a dead fish held in hand, then tranq. Running a pack of 9 delivers the maximum pack boost (8 bonus members). The Gnashed bleed does not grant XP to you or your tames when it kills a creature — keep this in mind for XP farming. Excellent for trilobite, eurypterid, and ammonite farming in ocean nooks due to smaller size and maneuverability compared to larger aquatic mounts. Level Melee Damage for higher bleed impact.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Megalodon_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Megalodon in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Megalodon_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use the builder above, or cheat gmsummon "Megalodon_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level. ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

summon drops a wild Megalodon at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify, the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
