ARK Basilosaurus Spawn Command

Passively immune to electric stun from Cnidaria and Electrophorus, and cannot be grabbed by Tusoteuthis — the only large aquatic mount that can safely fight all three of those creatures. It also passively produces Oil in its inventory and grants its rider 562 points of both Hypothermic and Hyperthermic insulation. Basilosaurus is a carnivore. Passively tamed — it will not fight back even when attacked. Prefers Exceptional Kibble; also accepts Prime Meat. Found in open ocean areas. Do not tame near Manta or Megalodon spawns — feeding creates a blood cloud that attracts aggressive aquatics.

All key abilities are fully passive — no activation required. Mount it and swim; immunity and oil production function automatically. Surface the Basilosaurus frequently during fights: it regenerates health faster the closer it is to the surface, and slowly loses health in deep water. Use it specifically where Cnidaria and Electrophorus are present — it is the only safe mount in those areas. Keep it near the surface during recovery after fights to exploit its accelerated heal rate. Do not take it into very deep ocean troughs for extended periods. Tame with Exceptional Kibble for maximum efficiency; Prime Fish Meat is the backup. Feed consistently during taming or effectiveness drops fast.

Deep ocean exploration and combat (immune to the three biggest ocean hazards), Oil farming (passive production in inventory), thermal insulation for cold/hot biomes, and safe escort through jellyfish-infested waters.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Basilosaurus_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Basilosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Basilosaurus_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use the builder above, or cheat gmsummon "Basilosaurus_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level. ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

summon drops a wild Basilosaurus at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify, the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
