ARK Bulbdog Spawn Command

Emits Charge Light from the fleshy projection on its head — the highest Charge Capacity of all four Light Pets. While lit, it provides the Charged Light buff that prevents Nameless from emerging from the ground and weakens Reaper ambushes, but also attracts Seekers. It also passively alerts the rider to nearby non-allied players or max-level wild creatures when its light is on. Bulbdog is a herbivore. Tamed passively and non-violently — its preferred taming food is Plant Species Z Seed. Found on Aberration. Cannot be tamed with tranquilizers.

Carried as a shoulder pet — press and hold the emote wheel key (left bracket [ by default on PC) and select Clap to quickly toggle the light on/off. You can also bind the Clap emote directly to a key for instant toggling. The alert system and charge generation are passive while mounted on your shoulder. Alerts can be disabled via the radial menu (hold E while the Bulbdog is on your shoulder). On Aberration: keep the light on while traversing surface and Element region areas to suppress Nameless. Turn it off during stealth sections or when Seekers are a greater threat than Nameless. Its Stamina, Oxygen, and Melee stats are renamed Charge Capacity, Charge Regeneration, and Charge Emission Range — level these rather than standard combat stats. It also has the highest Weight stat of all shoulder pets, making it a useful inventory extension (shoulder pet inventory weighs 50% less on the player).

Aberration survival (Nameless and Reaper suppression), proximity alert radar, shoulder-mounted inventory extension (highest weight of all shoulder pets), and light navigation in dark biomes.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon LanternPug_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Bulbdog in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "LanternPug_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use cheat gmsummon "LanternPug_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level — ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

summon drops a wild Bulbdog at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify — the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
