ARK Bison Spawn Command

Gains a herd Pack Boost when near allied Bison: +9% Melee Damage and +5% damage resistance per additional herd member, stacking up to +6 bonuses (7 or more Bison). Female Bison passively produce Bison Milk every hour (15 minutes on single player) when a non-adult ally Bison is nearby, which can be used to raise and imprint baby Wyverns or any baby creature requesting it — granting an instant 10% maturation boost on use. Bison is a herbivore. Found on Ragnarok in herds that follow an alpha (the highest-level Bison present). Males have larger and more prominent horns. The Bison Milk it produces is also used in certain advanced cooking recipes.

Pack Boost is passive and activates automatically when multiple allied Bison are within range — no activation needed. Milk production is also passive on female Bison with a juvenile ally nearby. For combat, the charge/headbutt is a standard attack that deals substantial knockback even to large predators like Rex. Run a herd of 7+ Bison for maximum Pack Boost, especially when using them as combat mounts or defenders. Pair a female with a juvenile in your base for steady Wyvern-raising milk without Element or dangerous trips to wild Wyverns. The Bison is a knockout tame — use a Large Bear Trap to immobilize it first, then tranq from range with Crossbow or Longneck Rifle. Prefers Mejoberry and Superior Kibble.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Bison_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Bison in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Bison_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use cheat gmsummon "Bison_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level — ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

summon drops a wild Bison at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify — the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
