What is a Munchill Effigy in Palworld?

The Munchill Effigy is one of the new Pal Effigies added in Palworld 1.0, when the old Lifmunk Effigy system was reworked into per-Pal effigies. It's the Munchill (the Ice/Water reptile Pal) one — a small icy-blue glowing statue out in the world, and picking one up grants Exploration EXP.

What does the Munchill Effigy do?

Picking up a Munchill Effigy grants Exploration EXP. You then hand it in at the Statue of Power for a permanent player buff — the exact stat the Munchill Effigy raises isn't documented yet this early in 1.0, so we're not going to guess it. The Lifmunk Effigy still raises Capture Power; in 1.0 it's simply one of many Pal Effigies.

Palworld 1.0 reworked the old Lifmunk Effigies into a Pal Effigy system — you now collect effigies of different Pals. The Munchill Effigy is one of them: a small icy-blue statue of Munchill (the Ice/Water reptile Pal) out in the world, and grabbing one grants Exploration EXP. What the Palworld Munchill Effigy is (and what changed in 1.0)

Straight facts, verified in-game — no launch-day guessing.

It's a new 1.0 "Pal Effigy." Palworld 1.0 turned the single Lifmunk Effigy collectible into effigies of many Pals. The Munchill Effigy is the Munchill (the Ice/Water reptile with the light-blue scales) version — which is why the statue glows icy blue.
It grants Exploration EXP. Picking one up gives Exploration EXP, same as the other Pal Effigies we're tracking on the all-effigies hub. The classic Lifmunk Effigy still raises Capture Power — it's just one of the Pal Effigy family now.
What it's actually for. Effigies aren't just an XP grab — you hand each one in at the Statue of Power for a permanent player buff, and every Pal's effigy boosts a different stat. We don't yet know which stat the Munchill Effigy raises — it's this early in 1.0 and nobody's confirmed it, so we're not going to make one up. We'll update this the moment we've verified it on our own server. (New in 1.0: the Pal Nox's "Kuudere" skill pings nearby effigies.)
It lives out in the new map. Our first verified Munchill Effigy sits on the flat-top rock mesas out over the water in the far southeast — 1.0 territory the old maps don't even chart. Bring a flying mount.
Reading the coordinates. Each number pair is the in-game map X, Y. Open your map, hover until the readout up top matches, drop a marker, and glide over.
