ARK Mantis Spawn Command

Can equip and wield melee weapons — picks, hatchets, swords, clubs, or torches — on its forelegs, making weapon quality directly affect its harvesting and combat output. It also has a leap attack that deals 120 damage per hit. Mantis is a carnivore (preferred taming food: deathworm horn; alternative: woolly rhino horn). Passive-only tame — requires Deathworm Horns in hotbar and Level 40 minimum to feed. Only non-human ARK creature with documented tool use. Does not produce feces and cannot be carried by Hover Skiff.

Standard left-click (RT/R2/ZR) fires the basic hit (34 dmg) or leap attack (120 dmg). To equip a weapon, open the Mantis inventory and drag a melee weapon into its hands — no radial menu required. The leap attack and basic hit share the same button but alternate. Passive tame approached with Bug Repellant equipped; press E to feed Deathworm Horns from hotbar slot. Level Melee Damage — tool harvest yield and club torpor output scale directly with this stat. For chitin/stone/wood runs, equip a metal pick or hatchet; for boss DPS runs, equip a quality sword. Immune to torpor, so it cannot be tranq'd by enemies. Weight and Stamina are secondary priorities. Mate-boosted wild packs are dangerous — use ranged attacks or Bug Repellant to reduce aggro radius before approaching.

Resource harvesting (stone, flint, wood, thatch, element ore with pick/hatchet); knockout taming large creatures (clubs for torpor); boss DPS (quality swords — especially effective against the Dragon due to small size avoiding ground AoE); mobile lighting with torch equipped.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Mantis_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Mantis in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Mantis_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use cheat gmsummon "Mantis_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level — ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

summon drops a wild Mantis at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify — the one most people want.
