ARK Manticore Spawn Command

A boss-only creature that attacks with aerial dives, bites, and ranged torpor-inflicting tail spines. As its health depletes it summons Deathworm and Rock Elemental minions. Manticore is a n/a (boss, not tameable). First Expansion Pack boss in ARK. It is the only Canon Guardian creature that cannot be played in the Survive the ARK mission.

Not tameable. Fought as a boss (Scorched Earth, Ragnarok, Valguero). The Manticore only lands periodically — critically, it lands far more often if players bring NO flying tames or shoulder pets. Keeping the arena free of flyers forces ground-phase windows where melee tames can deal full damage. Bring a Rex squad (prioritize Health and Melee Damage) buffed by a Yutyrannus courage roar, a Daeodon for passive healing, and optionally 10–16 high-melee Mantis equipped with quality swords for burst DPS. Stay on raised platforms to avoid Deathworm add spawns. Use stimulant or Medical Brew to counter torpor from tail spines. Stash all inventory in tames before the kill on Scorched Earth — the ascension sequence destroys player inventory.

Boss fight (Scorched Earth, Ragnarok, Valguero progression). Drops Element, armor skins (boots, chest, gauntlets, leggings, shield), and a trophy.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Manticore_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Manticore in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Manticore_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use the builder above, or cheat gmsummon "Manticore_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level. ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

Yes. The builder above generates a single SpawnExactDino command that bakes the level and the imprint into one copy-paste line. The saddle comes as a separate cheat gfi command (it can't ride inside the spawn). To set its colours, spawn it first, then use the ARK Dino Color Builder to build the SetTargetDinoColor commands (with a live preview).

summon drops a wild Manticore at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify, the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.

Yes. Manticore has 3 spawnable variants (Gamma, Beta, Alpha). Each has its own class name, in the builder's Variant dropdown and the variants table.
