ARK Glowtail Spawn Command

A shoulder-mounted charge pet with the highest Charge Regeneration of all Light Pets (stat renamed from Stamina). When activated, it emits a Charged Light effect on nearby players and creatures, suppressing Nameless and Reaper spawns and disabling their natural armor. Glowtail is a omnivore. Passive tame using its preferred food. The Glowtail is native to Aberration and is one of four charge pets in the game. Its eggs are used to make Basic Kibble.

Activate charge light through the wheel/radial menu while the Glowtail is on your shoulder, or by performing the Clap emote from the emotes wheel. The shoulder-mount is passive; the light emission itself must be toggled. Note: active charge light also attracts Seekers and increases their melee damage and damage resistance, so use deliberately. Its three stats are renamed: Stamina = Charge Capacity, Oxygen = Charge Regeneration, Melee Damage = Charge Emission Range. Because the Glowtail has the highest Charge Regeneration stat, it sustains light longer between recharges than the Bulbdog, Featherlight, or Shinehorn — making it the go-to light pet for extended deep-Aberration runs. Level its Charge Capacity (Stamina) for longer single bursts and Charge Emission Range (Melee) for wider suppression radius. While on your shoulder, items in its inventory weigh only half as much to the player, so use it as a lightweight resource backpack.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon LanternLizard_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Glowtail in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "LanternLizard_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use cheat gmsummon "LanternLizard_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level — ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

summon drops a wild Glowtail at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify — the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
