ARK Hesperornis Spawn Command

Female Hesperornis lay Golden Hesperornis Eggs after catching and eating fish — one egg per every 5 fish consumed. Golden Eggs grant a 10% XP buff for 10 minutes when consumed by a player or large creature, or a 500% XP buff when consumed by a small creature. They can also be used to craft Extraordinary Kibble. Hesperornis is a piscivore. Taming method is unique passive: you kill fish manually and bring the corpses to the Hesperornis; it will not eat fish you hand it from inventory — it must 'find' the kill. Only female Hesperornis lay eggs; males do not produce Golden Eggs.

The golden egg mechanic is fully passive once tamed — let a female Hesperornis hunt and eat fish in a water area (it does this on its own when set to wander/follow near water). Collect laid eggs from the ground. The bird is a shoulder pet and can be placed on the shoulder; while mounted, items in its inventory weigh half as much to the player. Pair a tamed Hesperornis with a water pen stocked with fish for semi-automated Golden Egg farming. Feed Golden Eggs to small creatures being leveled (Ravagers, small utility tames) for the 500% XP burst, or to players or large tames for the 10% buff during boss prep or post-tame leveling. Use large fish during hand-feeding taming for maximum per-feed progress (large fish = 9–10% per feeding vs 2–3% for small fish). There is a 30-second cooldown between feedings during taming.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Hesperornis_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Hesperornis in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Hesperornis_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use cheat gmsummon "Hesperornis_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level — ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

summon drops a wild Hesperornis at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify — the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
