ARK Hyaenodon Spawn Command

Passive pack bonus: each additional Hyaenodon in a group of two or more grants +10% Melee Damage and +5.5% damage resistance per extra member, stacking up to 6 members for a maximum of +60% melee and +33% damage resistance. The highest-level Hyaenodon in every group of 7 becomes Pack Leader, gaining an additional +25% Melee Damage and +12.5% damage resistance. Hyaenodon is a carnivore. Cannot be knockout-tamed — passive tame only by crouching nearby and petting (E key) every 30 seconds until tamed, with no food required. The pet interaction in-game also gives the player the Hug buff (halved damage taken, doubled melee) for 120 seconds.

Pack buffs are passive and automatic as long as multiple Hyaenadons are nearby. Equip the Hyaenodon Meatpack (crafted armor, unlocked at player level 19) in the creature's armor slot to enable meat preservation — this is done through the creature's inventory like any saddle. The Meatpack does NOT allow riding; it is a backpack-style accessory only. Pet a Hyaenodon by pressing E when close to grant both the Hyaenodon and yourself a buff (orange aura) that halves damage received and doubles melee damage for 120 seconds. Run packs of 7 for maximum buff stacking — the Pack Leader bonus on top of the 6-member stack makes the group a credible combat force. The Meatpack doubles all meat spoil timers (8x total spoil time) and cuts meat weight by 60%, making Hyaenadons the best mobile meat preservation tool in the game for hunting trips and boss preparation. Level Melee Damage to scale pack-kill speed and Health for survivability in swarms.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Hyaenodon_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Hyaenodon in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Hyaenodon_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use cheat gmsummon "Hyaenodon_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level — ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

summon drops a wild Hyaenodon at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify — the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
