ARK Iguanodon Spawn Command

Stance switching: it can toggle between bipedal (upright, melee-capable) and quadrupedal (four-legged, sprint-without-stamina-drain) modes. It also functions as a seed converter — berries and crops can be turned into seeds via the radial wheel menu. Iguanodon is a herbivore; prefers simple kibble. Tamed via knockout; use a bola to immobilize it first as it flees when injured. Found in grasslands and forests across multiple maps. The seed-conversion mechanic makes it a valuable farming companion for players running crop plots.

Switch stances with the secondary attack key (right click by default) while mounted. In quadrupedal stance it can sprint indefinitely without using stamina, making it a strong travel mount. To convert berries into seeds, access the creature's radial/wheel menu and select the seed conversion option. Level Speed for maximizing quadrupedal travel efficiency, and Melee Damage to improve gathering yield and bipedal combat. Level Weight for haul runs. The stamina-free quadrupedal sprint is the main draw — exploit it for long cross-map runs without stopping. Use bipedal mode when fighting or navigating tight terrain.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Iguanodon_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Iguanodon in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Iguanodon_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use the builder above, or cheat gmsummon "Iguanodon_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level. ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

summon drops a wild Iguanodon at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify, the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
