ARK Ichthyosaurus Spawn Command

Exceptionally fast aquatic swimmer with a curious, non-hostile disposition toward players — it approaches rather than fleeing. Terrestrial predators ignore the player while mounted on one, making it uniquely safe for river and ocean travel. It is also torpedo-immune and cannot be knocked out. Ichthyosaurus is a carnivore; prefers simple kibble but accepts raw mutton, raw prime meat, and various fish meats. Tamed via passive method only — it cannot be tranquilized. Place food in the last hotbar slot and feed it repeatedly as its hunger drops. Found in oceans and rivers across The Island, The Center, Ragnarok, Valguero, Crystal Isles, Genesis Part 2, Lost Island, and Fjordur (Midgard region).

Bite attack is player-activated (left click / RT / R2 / ZR while mounted) and costs 5 stamina per use with a 0.67-second cooldown. Players can fire crossbows and weapons while riding it, which is critical for its underwater taming-mount role. Its passive curiosity approach toward players works without any input. Level Movement Speed and Stamina for scouting and travel; add Health and Melee Damage for combat use. Its small size lets it navigate shallow rivers and tight underwater passages that larger mounts cannot fit through. Allows weapon use while riding, making it the go-to early-game mount for Eurypterid hunting (Black Pearl farming) — it does not knock Eurypterids away, unlike most other mounts.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Dolphin_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Ichthyosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Dolphin_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use the builder above, or cheat gmsummon "Dolphin_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level. ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

summon drops a wild Ichthyosaurus at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify, the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
