ARK Doedicurus Spawn Command

The Doedicurus ("Doed") harvests stone with extreme efficiency using its spiked tail, and carries stone at 75% reduced weight. When its health drops below one-third, it automatically curls into a protective ball that reduces incoming damage and torpor by 90%, making it nearly unkillable. Tamed Doedicuri can also curl into a ball while being ridden and roll forward as a movement mode. Doedicurus is a herbivore. Preferred taming food is any Crop (Citronal, Savoroot, Longrass, Rockarrot); uses Regular Kibble for fastest tame; requires knockout. The 90% damage/torpor reduction when curled means tranquilizers become almost useless against a curled Doed — wait for it to uncurl before continuing.

Stone harvesting happens automatically when it attacks rocks — just left click / RT / R2 on a rock node. To trigger the roll while mounted, curl up is initiated by the creature automatically at low health, but a rider overrides the behavior and can force it to keep moving. Set to Wander to enable autonomous stone gathering up to 50% encumbrance. When carried by an Argentavis or Quetzal, it will auto-harvest any stone node brought within range — set it NOT on follow for this to work. Level Melee Damage for more stone per swing and Weight for larger hauls. The most efficient setup is to carry it via Argentavis and hover over rock nodes — this harvests stone anywhere while keeping both creatures mobile and safe. On rafts, mounting two Doedicuri on the front and plowing through streambeds yields enormous stone while moving. It also gathers Obsidian (from appropriate nodes) and Sand on Scorched Earth.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Doed_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Doedicurus in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Doed_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use the builder above, or cheat gmsummon "Doed_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level. ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

The saddle comes as a separate cheat gfi command (it can't ride inside the spawn). To set its colours, spawn it first, then use the ARK Dino Color Builder to build the SetTargetDinoColor commands (with a live preview).

summon drops a wild Doedicurus at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify, the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
