ARK Elderclaw Spawn Command

A plant-spirit bear with a deployable Spirit Totem that passively buffs all nearby allies by up to +25% damage (scaling from 0 to 200 totem charges, starting at +5% at 0 charges). When detonated with 100+ charges, the Elderclaw itself enters an Empowered state with +70% damage output and extended Root Burst duration (up to 60 seconds at 200 charges). Its Root Burst attack fires roots that immobilize targets within 30 meters for up to 5 seconds base (scales to 15 seconds with totem charges). Its Bark Shield reduces all incoming damage by 35% at the cost of Food. Elderclaw is a omnivore. Adult Elderclaws cannot be tamed directly. Kill one to obtain a Seed from its inventory, plant it in a Large Crop Plot, then tend to it by providing specific requested resources (Ammonite Bile, Bio Toxin, Black Pearls, Giant Bee Honey, Leech Blood, or Sap) within 5-minute windows as it grows. Failing to provide the resource reduces taming effectiveness. The resulting Elderclaw hatches at the parent's level plus bonus levels from taming effectiveness. It is part of the paid ARK Fantastic Tames DLC released with the Valguero map (October 2025).

Place Totem: hold Ctrl + right click (LT/L2) — places the totem at a target location within range. Detonate Totem: hold Ctrl + hold right click — requires 100+ charges for the Empowered effect; below 100 charges it simply destroys the totem. Root Burst: F / Special 1 — 10-second cooldown, 30-meter forward cone, immobilizes targets. Bark Shield: Ctrl + C / Right Stick — drains 50 Food every 3.5 seconds while active. Lunge (secondary): right click / LT / L2 — 50 stamina, 5-second cooldown, applies Tangled debuff (-50% move speed for 2 seconds). Each melee hit charges the totem by 1. In boss fights, place the totem before the fight starts and build charges via melee hits, then detonate for the Empowered buff combined with Yutyrannus Courage Roar for massive stacked damage amplification. The Elderclaw has a natural armor passive that scales with base level (up to 80 armor at level 450), so higher level Elderclaws require no saddle slot item to be tanky. Bee Protection is a passive on the rider — free Giant Bee immunity.

Boss fight damage support (totem +25% to all nearby allies), crowd control via Root Burst immobilization, PvP team fights (totem detonation AoE + Empowered state), tanking with Bark Shield, passive rider Bee Protection.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon SpiritBear_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Elderclaw in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "SpiritBear_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use cheat gmsummon "SpiritBear_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level — ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

summon drops a wild Elderclaw at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify — the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
