ARK Equus Spawn Command

The Equus saddle functions as a mobile Mortar and Pestle, allowing chemistry-style crafting on the move. It is also the only mount in the game that allows the rider to use a Lasso while riding — the Lasso can drag conscious or unconscious creatures, gather resources, and pull loot bags from a distance. Equus is a herbivore. Tamed passively via a 'breaking' minigame — mount the wild Equus after feeding it Rockarrot or Simple Kibble, then survive its bucking by pressing E at prompts or be thrown and take torpor damage. Can be ridden without a saddle (saddle is not required to mount, only to craft/use the Lasso).

The Torpor Kick combat ability is activated with right-click / LT / L2 / ZL while mounted and deals 11 damage plus 3x that amount instantly as torpor — useful for knocking out creatures. The Lasso is crafted inside the Equus inventory (requires saddle equipped) and is equipped and thrown like a normal item while mounted. Saddle crafting access is via the Equus inventory, not a radial menu. Level Health and Melee Damage to improve the knockout kick's effectiveness as a tranquilizer alternative. Level Stamina for long-range travel. The Equus starts with a base movement speed of 100% regardless of level — pumping points into movement speed makes it one of the fastest land mounts in the game. It also reduces the weight of Stone, Clay, Sand, and Cementing Paste by 50–80%, making it a solid early resource hauler. Particularly strong on Aberration where flying mounts are banned.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Equus_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Equus in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Equus_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use cheat gmsummon "Equus_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level — ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

summon drops a wild Equus at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify — the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
