ARK Dragon Spawn Command

The Dragon boss breathes fire that deals percent-based damage — burning away 20% of any target's maximum health over 10 seconds regardless of armor or resistance, making raw health pools the only meaningful defense. It also summons waves of Pteranodon and Dimorphodon minions that can directly damage mounted riders. Dragon is a carnivore. The Dragon is considered by the community to be the third hardest boss in the game, behind only the Corrupted Master Controller and King Titan. On Ragnarok, the Dragon takes 3x damage, effectively giving it two-thirds less health — making Ragnarok the recommended location for farming.

The Dragon is a boss, not a player tame (except temporarily in Survival of the Fittest for 15 minutes). It is accessed by placing required tribute items into an Obelisk or Supply Crate and activating the Dragon Portal. On The Island, the Red Obelisk is required for single player. Also accessible on Ragnarok, Valguero, and Fjordur via their respective arenas/terminals. The fire breath has a cooldown — after the Dragon lands following a minion phase, it will immediately use fire breath on the first tame it sees. Send a single sacrificial tame in first to absorb that breath, then commit your army. Therizinosaurus with Sweet Vegetable Cake is the premier counter — they are herbivores (reduced fireball damage) and can self-heal, with 21k health being the sweet spot (each cake heals 10% max health, capped at 2100). Deinonychus bleed uniquely damages the Dragon and can be used on its back-left foot to lock it in place. A Yutyrannus rider providing Courage Roar adds 20% damage resistance and 25% damage to all allied tames.

End-game progression gating (Dragon Alpha unlocks Cloning Chamber, Tek Chestpiece, Tek Teleporter among others). Drops Element: 80 (Gamma), 220 (Beta), 440 (Alpha).

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Dragon_Character_BP_Boss_Easy_C to spawn a wild Dragon in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Dragon_Character_BP_Boss_Easy_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use cheat gmsummon "Dragon_Character_BP_Boss_Easy_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level — ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

summon drops a wild Dragon at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify — the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
