ARK Dilophosaur Spawn Command

Spits venom at range (3 damage + Venom debuff) that blinds the target, reduces vision, and cuts Movement Speed by 50% for 10 seconds. Has a Turret Mode allowing its AI to hold position and spit at intruders from range, functioning as a base defense station. Dilophosaur is a carnivore. Knockout tame; knocked unconscious with a slingshot, tranq arrows, or fists. Prefers Basic Kibble. Rarely drops the Nerdry Glasses Skin on death — a Jurassic Park reference (Dennis Nedry). Not mountable. Found throughout beaches, jungles, swamps, and cave entrances.

Venom Spit is a separate attack from the Bite — the Dilophosaur will stand still, extend its frills, and pull its head back before firing. There is a 12s cooldown after each spit. Turret Mode is enabled via the creature's behavior settings (set to Aggressive + Turret Mode via the radial menu) — it will then stay in place and spit autonomously. The venom attack can be blocked by a shield. Place Dilos in Turret Mode at narrow choke points inside bases — their spit slows and blinds, making them effective soft deterrents even at low levels (minimum 3 pillars high for small creatures, 8 for large). In packs, the slow lets the group keep dealing damage as prey cannot escape. Early game, use them to gather Raw Prime Fish Meat (no Sickle required). Egg Farm: Dilophosaur Eggs are one of the earliest available kibble ingredients. They are not combat powerhouses solo, but packs of higher-level Dilos can meaningfully threaten Parasaurs and Raptors.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Dilo_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Dilophosaur in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Dilo_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use cheat gmsummon "Dilo_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level — ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

summon drops a wild Dilophosaur at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify — the one most people want.
