ARK Diplodocus Spawn Command

A harmless knockback "push" attack that deals zero damage but launches targets with substantial force, making it the only dinosaur that cannot directly kill through its own attacks. It also provides 10 passenger seats on its saddle in addition to the rider. Diplodocus is a herbivore. The Diplodocus is the only creature in the game that accepts both knockout taming and passive taming — passive taming requires no combat, simply approach and feed repeatedly. Its attacks never trigger enemy AI aggression because they deal zero damage.

Left click (PC) / RT / R2 / ZR activates the push attack while mounted. The 10 passenger slots are accessible via the saddle — up to 10 tribe members can ride simultaneously, each able to fire their own weapons from its back. For combat: position armed passengers on one flank and use the knockback to shove enemies off cliffs or into hazards — the Diplo itself takes no aggro from attacking. Level Stamina, Weight, and Speed for transport; level Health and Speed for a knockback-tank battle role. Its large size means creatures like Quetzals cannot pick it up. You can also station yourself underneath its belly — outside push range — as a safe firing position during taming operations.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Diplodocus_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Diplodocus in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Diplodocus_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use the builder above, or cheat gmsummon "Diplodocus_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level. ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

Yes. The builder above generates a single SpawnExactDino command that bakes the level and the imprint into one copy-paste line. The saddle comes as a separate cheat gfi command (it can't ride inside the spawn). To set its colours, spawn it first, then use the ARK Dino Color Builder to build the SetTargetDinoColor commands (with a live preview).

summon drops a wild Diplodocus at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify, the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
