All Ark Survival Ascended Extinction Artifact Cords & Titan Terminals

Extinction throws out the rulebook. No obelisks, no multi-artifact tributes — just three corrupted caves, each holding one artifact and the terminal to summon its Titan. Grab Growth, Chaos, and the Void, then take down the Forest, Desert, and Ice Titans before facing the King. Coordinates verified against the official ARK wiki and current ASA sources.

Extinction Artifact & Titan Terminal Coordinates

All 3 Extinction artifacts and the caves that hold them. On Extinction the artifact and its Titan terminal share a cave. Click an artifact to jump to its breakdown.

Jump to an artifact
Artifact Cave / Titan Cave Entrance Artifact Coords Difficulty
Growth Forest Cave → Forest Titan 11.8, 39.3 13.5, 49.2 Hard
Chaos Desert Cave → Desert Titan 87.4, 70.4 93.9, 88.0 Hard
Void Ice Cave → Ice Titan 20.3, 62.2 13.5, 84.0 Very Hard

Titan terminal note: In each cave the summon terminal is near the artifact — except the Ice Cave, where the Ice Titan terminal sits separately at 6.7, 85.8, past the artifact. Each Titan also needs tribute items (e.g. the Forest Titan takes 100 Corrupt Hearts, 10 Sauropod Vertebrae, and 10 Rex Arms) — check the in-game terminal for the exact list at your difficulty.

Full Extinction Cave Breakdown

Every cave's full details — entrances, the artifact, the Titan terminal, hazards, and gear.

Forest Cave Map & Location

Artifact of Growth · Summons the Forest Titan
Entrance 11.8, 39.3 → Artifact 13.5, 49.2
DifficultyHard
Best ApproachMek (fits ~60% in) or Yutyrannus
HazardsRex/Allosaurus/Therizino swarms, Microraptors, Kaprosuchus, Purlovia, a water crossing
GearGhillie + Cactus Broth (on foot), shield, fabricated weapons or Pump-Action Shotgun, medical brews

The Forest Cave sits in the northeastern end of the underground Sunken Forest zone, with a classic rockface entrance at 11.8, 39.3. It's a long, mostly linear winding tunnel with a water crossing partway through. The Artifact of Growth is on a ledge to your right as you enter the final large cavern at 13.5, 49.2 — the ledge keeps it out of reach of most of the creatures below. The Forest Titan terminal is in that same final cavern.

The whole cave and the area just outside are a designated no-build zone, so you can't wall off a staging point inside. A Mek can drive in and clear about 60% of the cave before the tunnel narrows; from there it's on foot or a smaller mount.

Pro tip: A Yutyrannus is the MVP here — its roar forces burrowed Purlovia out before they can ambush-dismount you. The artifact chamber is a meat grinder of Allos, Theris, and Rexes, so don't go in without a strong saddle and a stack of medical brews. Forest Titan tribute: 100 Corrupt Hearts, 10 Sauropod Vertebrae, 10 Rex Arms.

Desert Cave Map & Location

Artifact of Chaos · Summons the Desert Titan
Entrance 87.4, 70.4 → Artifact 93.9, 88.0
DifficultyHard
Best ApproachGasbags (fast traverse) or careful on-foot runner
HazardsRubble Golems, Mantis (long aggro range), Arthropleura, Titanoboa, Onyc, deep water with Kapro & Piranha
GearGhillie or Desert Cloth, shotgun/longneck, lots of water, medical brews

The Desert Cave is in the far southeast, entrance at 87.4, 70.4. It's an immense, high-ceilinged cave with a long winding main path, lots of dead ends, and deep water sections housing Kaprosuchus and Piranha. The Artifact of Chaos is deep in the back at 93.9, 88.0, right before the Desert Titan terminal.

The entrance alone can greet you with a pack of Onyc, a pair of Rubble Golems, Titanoboas, and multiple Mantis and Arthropleura all at once — Mantis aggro from a surprisingly long range. Take it slow and use chokepoints to fight a few enemies at a time rather than getting swarmed.

Pro tip: Flyers can't enter, but Gasbags can — and their bounce-traversal makes them one of the fastest, safest ways through this cave's layout. If you're on foot, the Arthropleura are the real threat in a mob; they drain health fast, so keep them off you with ranged fire.

Ice Cave Map & Location

Artifact of the Void · Summons the Ice Titan
Entrance 20.3, 62.2 → Artifact 13.5, 84.0
DifficultyVery Hard · longest of the three
Best ApproachApex predator (Rex) to avoid aggro; ground only
HazardsFreezing cold, Yetis, Direwolves, Purlovia, creatures up to lvl 300, water exits
GearFur or Tek armor, cold resistance, light pet/torches, high-damage ranged weapons, medical brews

The Ice Cave is in the northeastern Snow biome — the entrance is at the metal base next to a waterfall at 20.3, 62.2, not inside the bio-dome itself. This is the longest and most arduous of the three caves: a deep, cold, winding run all the way out to the Artifact of the Void at 13.5, 84.0, with the Ice Titan terminal separately at 6.7, 85.8 on the far side.

Follow the orange crystals and keep to the left side; if you fall into the water there's an exit. Riding an apex predator like a Rex means the Direwolves and Purlovia won't aggro unless attacked first — but if you attack one above-ground Purlovia, nearby burrowed ones pounce and can stun-dismount you, which is often fatal this deep in.

Pro tip: Do NOT bring a flyer — it dismounts you almost instantly inside, which is usually a death sentence here. Cold management matters as much as combat: Fur or Tek armor plus a light pet for the dark stretches. This is the coldest, longest run in the trio, so stage beds/cryopods and don't rush it.
👑

The King Titan (Final Boss)

Forest + Desert + Ice Titan trophies → King Titan arena

The three artifacts and their Titans are the road to Extinction's true endgame: the King Titan. You don't summon the King with an artifact — you need to defeat the Forest, Desert, and Ice Titans first and use their trophies (plus a large element tribute) at the King Titan terminal in the central crater/wasteland. The King Titan has Gamma, Beta, and Alpha difficulties, each demanding progressively more.

So the artifact runs on this page aren't optional side content — they're the gate to the whole boss progression. Grab Growth, Chaos, and Void, beat their Titans, then bring the trophies to the King.

Pro tip: Beating the Alpha King Titan is what unlocks Extinction's ascension and the max-level cap increase. It's a full-tribe, Tek-tier fight — Mek squads, Tek gear, and a coordinated team. Treat the three Titan runs as your gear check before even thinking about the King.

Extinction Loot Drops & Supply Crates

Extinction's loot comes from Orbital Supply Drops (OSDs), Element Node defenses, and cave crates rather than deep-sea loot. The artifact caves each contain loot crates ranging from blue to red, and the surface drops are where the real blueprints are.

📦 Where the loot is

  • Orbital Supply Drops — timed wasteland defense events, best loot
  • Element Nodes — defend to earn Element + drops
  • Desert Cave — up to 7 crate spawns, blue to red
  • Forest & Ice caves — crates along the artifact route
  • City Terminal loot from corrupted/OSD farming

⚠️ Survival essentials

  • Tek gear & shield generators carry Extinction
  • Cryopods + beds at every cave and terminal
  • Desert Cloth (heat) and Fur/Tek (Ice) — biomes kill faster than creatures
  • Bug Repellent + shotgun for the Forest & Desert caves
  • Mek for the Forest Cave; Gasbags for the Desert Cave

Farming reality check: Extinction's best loot doesn't come from the artifact caves — it comes from Orbital Supply Drops in the wasteland and Element Node defense events, which scale from blue to legendary and drop Tek blueprints. Hit the artifact caves for the artifacts and their crates, but build your real farming loop around OSDs with a strong defensive team (Meks, turrets, a Gasbags for repositioning).

Extinction Survival Tactics

Common Questions about Extinction Artifacts

How many artifacts are on Extinction in ARK: Survival Ascended?
Extinction has 3 artifacts: Growth (Forest Cave), Chaos (Desert Cave), and the Void (Ice Cave). Each Titan needs only one artifact, and each artifact sits in the same cave as the terminal that summons its Titan.
How does summoning Titans work on Extinction?
Instead of taking multiple artifacts to an obelisk, each Titan is summoned at a terminal inside its own cave using a single artifact plus tribute items. Forest Titan uses Growth, Desert Titan uses Chaos, Ice Titan uses the Void. The King Titan is the final boss, summoned after defeating the other three and using their trophies.
Where is the Artifact of Growth on Extinction?
The Artifact of Growth is in the Forest Cave in the underground Sunken Forest. The entrance is at around 11.8, 39.3, and the artifact sits on a ledge in the final cavern at about 13.5, 49.2, by the Forest Titan terminal. Bring a Mek or Yutyrannus — the chamber is packed with Rex, Allosaurus, and Therizinosaurus.
Can you use flyers in Extinction caves?
No. Flyers are disabled inside all three artifact caves unless the server enables "force allow cave flyers" — you'll be dismounted almost instantly. Use ground mounts like a Mek, Yutyrannus, or Rex, or Gasbags, which can enter and traverse quickly. Watch for Microraptors, Kaprosuchus, and Purlovia that dismount you on foot.
What is the hardest Extinction cave?
The Ice Cave (Artifact of the Void) is the hardest and longest. It has the most arduous path to both the artifact and the Titan terminal, with freezing cold, Yetis, Direwolves, and Purlovia, plus creatures up to level 300. The artifact is deep at around 13.5, 84, far from the entrance at 20.3, 62, and the Ice Titan terminal is separate again at 6.7, 85.8.
