ARK Spinosaurus Spawn Command

An amphibious apex predator that toggles between quadrupedal (faster movement, no mid-stride attacks) and bipedal (slower but higher 60-damage claw attacks) stances. When touching water it gains a Hydration Buff — 15% more melee damage, 20% more movement speed, 25% faster health regeneration, and improved turning radius — that persists 30 seconds after leaving water. Spinosaurus is a carnivore. Prefers Exceptional Kibble for taming. Swims without consuming stamina and regenerates stamina faster underwater — unique among large carnivores. The Hydration Buff makes it technically the first ARK creature whose environment directly buffs its stats.

Toggle stance with the secondary attack button (quadruped to biped and back) while on land only. The Hydration Buff is fully passive — simply being in contact with water activates it. Roar has no mechanical effect. Use the bipedal stance for combat (higher damage, faster attack speed than Rex) and quadrupedal for travel. The Hydration Buff makes rivers and coastlines the Spino's natural battlefield — always engage near water. Level Health and Melee Damage for combat; level Stamina for sustained fights. Does not consume stamina while swimming and regenerates it faster than normal in water — effectively unlimited aquatic endurance. Keep away from water when taming: Spinosaurus torpor depletes quickly (~2 per second at level 1) and it will flee to water and drown.

Amphibious combat (land and water); boss fights (Broodmother, Megapithecus especially with water buff); harvesting Raw Fish Meat and Raw Prime Fish Meat (5x efficiency); harvesting Raw Meat and Raw Prime Meat (4.5x efficiency); river travel.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Spino_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Spinosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Spino_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use the builder above, or cheat gmsummon "Spino_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level. ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

Yes. The builder above generates a single SpawnExactDino command that bakes the level and the imprint into one copy-paste line. The saddle comes as a separate cheat gfi command (it can't ride inside the spawn). To set its colours, spawn it first, then use the ARK Dino Color Builder to build the SetTargetDinoColor commands (with a live preview).

summon drops a wild Spinosaurus at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify, the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
