ARK Tapejara Spawn Command

A highly maneuverable flying pterosaur that can fly freely in all directions — including backward, strafing, and hovering — with no turn radius limitation. It can latch onto vertical walls and ceilings to recover stamina, and its triple-seat saddle allows one pilot plus two passengers who can fire weapons freely while mounted. Tapejara is a carnivore. Found near cliffs, tall redwood forests, and other vertical environments on The Island, Scorched Earth, and Genesis Part 1 (Bog biome). Skittish and flees on approach — Bola plus tranq darts is the standard taming approach. Preferred taming food is Superior Kibble. It was the first flyer to receive a Tek saddle variant.

Standard flight via jump button. Wall-latch by flying directly into a cliffside. Ascend/Descend use X and C (or platform equivalents). Grab (secondary attack, air only) snatches small creatures/players up to drag weight 40, costing 40 stamina. The triple-seat saddle is equipped normally — passengers board by pressing E on the mount. Wall-latching is the key stamina management tool — land on a cliff face rather than the ground when stamina runs low. Level Stamina to extend flight duration and reduce reliance on wall-latching. In PvP, the passenger weapon slots turn it into a gunship: pilot maneuvers while two passengers fire rockets, shotguns, or rifles from a mobile platform. The ability to reverse and strafe makes it uniquely effective for wyvern nest egg theft — latch the ceiling of a wyvern trench, grab an egg, and back out without exposing the front.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Tapejara_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Tapejara in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Tapejara_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use the builder above, or cheat gmsummon "Tapejara_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level. ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

Yes. The builder above generates a single SpawnExactDino command that bakes the level and the imprint into one copy-paste line. The saddle comes as a separate cheat gfi command (it can't ride inside the spawn). To set its colours, spawn it first, then use the ARK Dino Color Builder to build the SetTargetDinoColor commands (with a live preview).

summon drops a wild Tapejara at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify, the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
