ARK Maeguana Spawn Command

Can carry up to 4 baby creatures simultaneously on its saddle using the 'Baby Pick Up' ability, and passively nurses nearby babies — feeding range scales with its Food stat (capped at 3,000 Food units). It can also glide and parachute in air. Maeguana is a omnivore. Spawns exclusively on the Astraeos map. Extremely difficult to trap due to its immediate flee response — it jumps and glides away instantly. Baby Pick Up changes imprinting ownership, which is both a breeding tool and a PvP exploit.

Baby Pick Up: press Special 1 key while mounted — the Maeguana grabs nearby unclaimed babies onto the saddle (up to 4), and doing so changes their imprinting parent to the rider. Nursing is passive within range — no key required, but the Food stat determines range. Glide activates via Left Shift (PC) or Left Stick click (console) after jumping. Parachute activates with the secondary attack button while airborne. Body Slam uses the secondary attack while on the ground. Level Food stat to maximize nursing radius (scales up to 3,000 Food). Essential for large-scale baby raising — it acts as a living, mobile feeding trough with better coverage than a static trough. Berries and meat weigh 50% less in its inventory, making it efficient as a food hauler. Found only on Astraeos — trap it with a billboard box and wooden pillar ceiling since it immediately flees by jumping and gliding.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Maelizard_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Maeguana in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Maelizard_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use cheat gmsummon "Maelizard_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level — ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

summon drops a wild Maeguana at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify — the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
