ARK Gasbags Spawn Command

Inhales air on the ground to fill an Inflation Meter (visible left of the hotbar), then uses that stored air to float and fly. A full inflation also reduces incoming damage by up to 80%, and the stored air can be released as a powerful ground-level gas blast that knocks back attackers and applies the Gassed status effect (grants fall damage immunity until the target lands). Gasbags is a herbivore. Found on Extinction and can be transferred to Aberration. Tamed by standard KO methods; preferred taming food is Superior Kibble, with Crops as a fallback. The creature passively retains its normal temperament on Extinction despite its Corrupted appearance, making it tameable.

While standing on the ground, use the inhale action (right-click / LT / L2 / ZL in most control schemes) to fill the Inflation Meter. Once filled, the Gasbags floats and can be steered in the air using standard movement inputs. The gas blast (knockback attack) is also triggered while grounded — using the blast while airborne releases all stored air and causes the Gasbags to fall immediately. Each hit the Gasbags takes while inflated depletes the air meter; to restore the full 80% damage reduction you must land and re-inhale. Air capacity scales directly with the Oxygen stat. Level Oxygen to increase the Inflation Meter capacity (more air = longer flight time and more hits absorbed before deflating). Level Weight heavily — the Gasbags has exceptional carry weight and is one of the best heavy-transport mounts in the game. Can take a second passenger. Effective on Aberration since it can be transferred there (rare for a non-native creature). The 80% damage reduction while fully inflated makes it surprisingly tanky in the air as long as it avoids sustained fire.

Heavy cargo transport (exceptional carry weight), map traversal on any map including Aberration, knockback defense (gas blast to repel attackers), two-player transport.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon GasBags_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Gasbags in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "GasBags_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use the builder above, or cheat gmsummon "GasBags_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level. ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

Yes. The builder above generates a single SpawnExactDino command that bakes the level and the imprint into one copy-paste line. summon drops a wild Gasbags at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify, the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
