ARK Shastasaurus Spawn Command

A massive submarine-class aquatic creature with a buildable airtight Submarine Saddle that functions as a mobile underwater base. Its secondary ability cycles through four modes via Ctrl+click: Sonar (300m detection ping), Flashbang (50m sonic stun that dismounts riders), Pulse (35m knockback, including knockback-immune creatures), and Torpedoes (250 direct damage + explosion, 33% bonus vs armored targets, uses RPGs). Shastasaurus is a carnivore/piscivore (eats only fish meat). Taming requires 1–3 tamed Ichthyosaurs to attract the Shastasaurus to surface, then removing 3 leeches with a Sickle within a 30–90 second window and feeding Extraordinary Kibble or Raw Prime Fish Meat. Currently available on The Center map. First aquatic creature to win an ARK community vote.

Cycle secondary abilities with Ctrl+mouse click to switch between Sonar, Flashbang, Pulse, and Torpedo modes. Each has its own stamina cost and cooldown. The Periscope mode functions like Tek Binoculars for viewing creature stats. Primary attacks (Bite 70dmg / Tail Swipe 85dmg) use the standard attack button. The Submarine Saddle allows tribemates to enter and use it as a mobile base. Melee DPS is low due to slow attack speed — pair with 5–8 high-level Megalodons on neutral stance for combat. Use Sonar to avoid ambushes in deep water. Flashbang dismounts enemy riders and is excellent for disrupting PvP underwater engagements. Level Weight (base 3000) for cargo transport and Health (base 4500) for durability as a mobile base. Torpedoes deal bonus damage to structures — viable for underwater base raiding.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Shastasaurus_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Shastasaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Shastasaurus_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use cheat gmsummon "Shastasaurus_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level — ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

summon drops a wild Shastasaurus at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify — the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
