ARK Ovis Spawn Command

The Ovis produces Wool that regrows passively and is harvested with Scissors — the regrowth rate scales with the Food stat. It also carries a Slaughter option in its radial menu when the player has a Sword, Sickle, or Metal Pick equipped, producing Raw Mutton in an amount that scales with the Ovis's Health stat. Ovis is a herbivore. Passive tame — feed one Sweet Vegetable Cake at any level (it only needs one). Found in cold mountainous areas near Yutyrannus and other dangerous predators. Males have ornate multi-horned heads. Wool can be sheared from untamed Ovis without taming them first.

To shear: equip Scissors and interact with the Ovis to harvest Wool (works on wild Ovis too — no taming required for wool). To slaughter for mutton: equip a Sword, Sickle, or Metal Pick, stand close to the tamed Ovis, open the radial menu, and select Slaughter. Level Food to speed up wool regeneration. Level Health to increase Raw Mutton yield per slaughter. A level 300 Ovis can yield over 1000 Raw Mutton per slaughter, making high-Health Ovis one of the most efficient taming-food farms in the game. Raw Mutton tames carnivores approximately 1.5x faster than their preferred kibble. Ovis can climb 80–90 degree inclines while sprinting, making them oddly effective as scout mounts in mountain terrain. Only one Sweet Vegetable Cake required to tame at any level.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Sheep_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Ovis in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Sheep_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use the builder above, or cheat gmsummon "Sheep_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level. ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

Yes. The builder above generates a single SpawnExactDino command that bakes the level and the imprint into one copy-paste line. The saddle comes as a separate cheat gfi command (it can't ride inside the spawn). To set its colours, spawn it first, then use the ARK Dino Color Builder to build the SetTargetDinoColor commands (with a live preview).

summon drops a wild Ovis at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify, the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
