Spawn a tamed Lymantria at any level

gmsummon spawns it already tamed. Set the level below — it's the pre-tame level, and ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus on top, so the final creature lands higher. Change the number, copy, paste.

What does the Lymantria do in ARK?
Its primary offensive ability is a Spore/Poison attack: it expels a poisonous cloud underneath itself that deals 18 damage on impact and reduces the Movement Speed of hit creatures by 90% for 10 seconds, while also progressively draining their stamina. Lymantria is a herbivore. Found on Scorched Earth, Ragnarok, Valguero, Genesis Part 1, Crystal Isles, Genesis Part 2, Lost Island, and Astraeos. Beginner-friendly tame — kibble taming completes before torpor drains. Bola it to prevent escape, then tranquilize; shoot wings and abdomen for faster knockout.
How do you use the Lymantria's ability in ARK?
Activate the spore attack with the primary attack button (left-click / RT / R2 / ZR) while flying — the cloud is dropped directly beneath the Lymantria, so positioning altitude matters. Flying is toggled by pressing the jump button; land by pressing jump again near ground or water. The spore costs 5 stamina with an 8-second cooldown between uses. Best used as a bomber — fly above a target and spam the spore to slow and stamina-drain it. Effective for pinning tames or slowing enemies during PvP without direct aggro. Level Stamina to extend bombing runs, and Health for survivability. Low base damage makes it unsuitable as a primary fighter. Muted flight sound makes it a solid scout.
What is the Lymantria good for in ARK?
Crowd control (slowing large groups via spore cloud); taming assistant (slow escaping tames without killing them); lightweight air transport with better carry capacity than Pteranodon; base logistics (quiet indoor movement); scouting.

How do I spawn a tamed Lymantria at a specific level?
Use cheat gmsummon "Moth_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level — ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.
What's the difference between summon, SummonTamed and gmsummon?
summon drops a wild Lymantria at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify — the one most people want.
Do ARK spawn commands work in single player and on servers?
Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.
