ARK Purlovia Spawn Command

The Purlovia burrows underground and launches a surprise ambush attack that stuns targets for 10 seconds and can knock riders off mounts with a drag weight of 350 or less. While buried and set to passive, it is invisible to non-tribe members and will not be revealed unless hit by an explosion, a Yutyrannus roar, or a dino with detection abilities. Purlovia is a carnivore. Knockout-tamed with Regular Kibble, Raw Mutton, or Raw Prime Meat as preferred foods. Cannot be ridden despite its size. Found on The Island, Scorched Earth, Ragnarok, and Extinction; an Aberrant variant exists on Aberration and a non-tameable white Polar variant also spawns.

Open the radial wheel menu while mounted or from the creature's context wheel and select 'Bury' to send it underground. Once buried, the ambush triggers automatically when an enemy creature or player moves close enough — there is no additional input required from the rider. The creature will not burrow if it senses a nearby threat when the command is issued. Use a pack of Purlovias as buried landmines around a base perimeter — place them at chokepoints, near resource nodes, or along raid corridors so they ambush intruders automatically. For a hidden vault role, keep one on passive with food topped up; its inventory is intentionally limited (24–36 slots) so prioritize storing high-value compact items. Level Health and Melee Damage for defense, or Food and Weight if using it as a hidden stash.

Open the console with ~ and enter cheat summon Purlovia_Character_BP_C to spawn a wild Purlovia in ARK: Survival Ascended. For a tamed one at a level you choose, use cheat gmsummon "Purlovia_Character_BP_C" 150. On a server, run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> first and keep the cheat prefix.

Use the builder above, or cheat gmsummon "Purlovia_Character_BP_C" <level>. The number is the pre-tame level. ARK adds up to a 50% taming bonus, so a value of 100 ends up around level 150. To hit a target level, divide it by 1.5. A gmsummon creature still needs a saddle to ride.

The saddle comes as a separate cheat gfi command (it can't ride inside the spawn). To set its colours, spawn it first, then use the ARK Dino Color Builder to build the SetTargetDinoColor commands (with a live preview).

summon drops a wild Purlovia at a random level. SummonTamed gives you a tamed one but at a random level you can't set. gmsummon spawns it tamed at the level you specify, the one most people want.

Yes. In single player the cheat prefix is optional and no password is needed. On a dedicated or non-dedicated session you must run enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword> once, then prefix each spawn with cheat. Set that admin password without hand-editing files using our free ARK config generators.

Yes. Purlovia has 2 spawnable variants (Aberrant, Polar). Each has its own class name, in the builder's Variant dropdown and the variants table.
