How do I change difficulty or cheat in Enshrouded?

Use the difficulty preset. Pick Default, Relaxed, Hard, Survival, or — for full control — Custom. Custom unlocks every multiplier: enemy health and damage, XP and loot, durability off, peaceful mode, and more. On a dedicated server these live in enshrouded_server.json. One catch: the multipliers only apply on the Custom preset — set a named preset and your tuning is silently ignored.

Is there a god mode or item spawn command in Enshrouded?

No — because there's no console, there's no god, spawn, additem or fly command. The closest you get is the Custom difficulty levers: turn on peaceful mode (pacifyAllEnemies), crank player health, switch durability off, and raise the resource-drop multiplier. That's the only built-in 'cheat-like' control.

No. As of 2026, Enshrouded has no in-game console, no slash-commands, and no cheat commands — and unlike many Early Access survival games, the developers haven't promised one either. It's a deliberate design choice. The way you change the game is through the difficulty settings, not a command line.

There's no official mod support — the game shipped without it by design. A small community scene exists on Nexus Mods (Cheat Engine tables, an experimental mod loader for uncapped settings and XP tweaks), but it's all unofficial, single-player/private only, and can break with every patch. The Settings That Do the Job of "Cheats"

Enshrouded's only built-in "cheat-like" controls are its difficulty multipliers. Pick a preset at world creation: Default, Relaxed, Hard, Survival, or choose Custom to unlock the full grid. These are the dials that get you closer to god mode, infinite loot, or a peaceful run.

The one trap: these multipliers only apply on the Custom preset. Pick a named preset (Default/Hard/etc.) and any values you set are silently ignored. If your tuning "isn't working," this is almost always why.

"Admin Commands" on a Server — It's Passwords, Not Commands

Searching for Enshrouded admin commands? There aren't any to type. A dedicated server has a role system, and you become admin by the password you connect with, not by entering a command in-game.

Admin	Full control — kick/ban, edit the base & world, all chests. (The Admin password grants it.)
Friend	Build + chest access, but no kick/ban.
Guest	Explore only.

Under the hood the permissions are config keys: canKickBan, canAccessInventories, canEditBase, canExtendBase, canEditWorld, and you can define up to 10 roles. Set them in enshrouded_server.json; full breakdown on the settings page.

Set your Admin password. All role passwords are blank by default. An empty Admin password means anyone who joins can act as admin. Fill it in before you open the server up.

Will Enshrouded Ever Get a Console?

Maybe, but not today. Enshrouded is in Early Access (currently v0.9.1.x "Forging the Path", the final major EA update before 1.0). A console could theoretically arrive at or after 1.0, but none exists now, and Keen hasn't announced one.

We'll update this page if that changes. Currency is the whole point: if a 1.0 build adds a real console or cheat commands, this page gets the commands and a fresh date. Until then, the difficulty levers above are the honest answer.
