Q: How many Knowledge Points do you get at max level?

497 Knowledge Points from leveling alone at level 60, the max level — that is an official Funcom figure, and it is deliberately short of unlocking the whole tree. Every point-cost feat on this page adds up to 942 KP, so you make up the gap by farming Fragments and Tablets of Power. (An old "284 KP at level 50" number floating around is outdated — ignore it.)

Q: How do I respec or reset my Knowledge Points?

Drink a Potion of Natural Learning — it refunds every spent Knowledge Point so you can reallocate (anything you discovered in the world stays learned). Attribute points use a different item, the Potion of Bestial Memory. The old Yellow Lotus Potion no longer resets anything — since Age of War it is just a Stamina buff. KP you earned from Fragments and Tablets is permanent and survives a respec. Heads-up: a long-standing reported bug can drop the odd recipe (e.g. Silver Jewelry) after a Natural Learning reset.

The community consensus rush: Iron Tools + Blacksmith first (tool quality and the furnace gate everything), then Thrall Taker at level 10 to start capturing Named crafters, then the level-10 Tanner / Armorer / Carpenter cluster, then Firebowl Cauldron (level 15) for Steelfire and Alchemical Base, then the Wheel of Pain around level 30. Sorcery and the Fluid Press come later. That is advice, not a hard rule — and with a Potion of Natural Learning you can always reset.

How Knowledge works

Knowledge unlocks crafting recipes. There are three ways to get it — and only one of them spends points.

Spend Knowledge Points. You gain KP as you level, 497 total by level 60 (the cap). You spend them in the Knowledge menu to unlock feats — each has a point cost and a level requirement. 497 doesn't cover the whole tree, so choose your order.
Discover it in the world. Some Knowledge is found — read a rune stone, loot a chest, learn from an NPC — for 0 points. These are tagged Learned below. A few still need a prerequisite feat before you can actually craft the thing.
Own the DLC. DLC feats unlock free once you own the pack (tagged DLC). It's cosmetic — stats comparable to base items, no pay-to-win.
Top up with Fragments of Power. After level 60 each Fragment of Power eaten is +10 KP; five crafted into a Tablet of Power is +60 (so craft them, don't eat them raw). That's how you eventually unlock everything.
Made the wrong call? Respec. A Potion of Natural Learning refunds every spent point (discovered Knowledge stays). Attributes use a different potion (Bestial Memory); the old Yellow Lotus no longer resets anything.

Did the Enhanced UE5 relaunch change the Knowledge tree?

No. Enhanced (5 May 2026) is a graphics and performance rebuild — Unreal Engine 5 with Lumen and Nanite, the Exiled Lands and Isle of Siptah merged into one world, and multiple characters per account. The Knowledge / Knowledge Point system (the thing that used to be called Feats) works exactly as it did on the late UE4 build, and your levels, recipes and followers carry across the migration. The feats below are current to it.

What is the most efficient way to unlock everything?
