Icarus Talents FAQ

How many talent points do you get in Icarus?
Up to 90 talent points by the level-60 cap, spent across the 14 non-Solo trees (no per-tree cap). On top of that, the Solo tree has its own separate pool of 30 points that only apply when you play alone. A handful of missions and the Great Hunts award a few bonus talent points beyond that.
What is the Solo talent tree?
A dedicated tree of self-sufficiency perks — extra yields, lighter materials, more XP when not in a party. Its points come from a separate 30-point pool and only take effect when no other players are in your session, so they never compete with your main 90 points.
How do the tier locks work?
Each tree gates its higher talents behind points already spent in that same tree — you invest in Novice talents to open Apprentice ones, and so on. This calculator enforces every gate and prerequisite, so a locked talent tells you exactly what it needs.
How do you respec talents in Icarus?
You can refund talent points individually from the talent menu for 150 Ren per point — no consumable required. That makes it cheap to experiment, which is exactly what this planner is for.
Does this cover the Genetics tree?
Not yet. Genetics arrived with the February 2026 Mendel update and its full per-rank values are not cleanly documented from a primary source, so we are holding it back rather than guessing. The other 14 trees are complete; Genetics will be added once we can verify it.
