Valheim EpicLoot — Every Magic Effect

EpicLoot bolts a Diablo-style rarity system onto Valheim: monsters drop unidentified gear that rolls random magic effects across five rarity tiers. This is the full 112-effect reference — searchable, filterable, with the per-rarity value tables — plus the rarity ladder, the enchanting loop and both legendary sets, all in one place. Nobody else has assembled it.

How EpicLoot Works

Every dropped item rolls a rarity, and rarity decides how many magic effects it gets. Higher up the ladder = more effects and stronger rolls:

About Mythic: it's a real tier (added with Ashlands) but the base mod ships no Mythic items or sets — the arrays are empty. It has to be switched on in the config and filled by patches before it means anything. The five colours above are the mod's config defaults; a server can recolour them.

All the crafting happens at the Enchanting Table, which runs a four-step loop:

1Identify

Unidentified drops go on the table to reveal their random magic effects.

2Sacrifice

Destroy magic items & trophies to yield crafting materials.

3Enchant

Turn a plain item magic, or upgrade its rarity — spends Dust / Essence / Reagent / Runestone.

4Augment

Reroll ONE magic effect with a Shard / Runestone. Once you augment one, the rest lock.

The Identify → Sacrifice → Augment side is the newer Runes feature. On some setups it needs enabling in the .cfg — the "Enchanting Table – Table Features Active" list must include Rune.

Effect names are the mod's internal IDs (what you'd see in a .yaml patch). The "what it does" column is the in-game tooltip with the rolled value shown as X.

Legendary Gear Sets

The base mod has exactly two Diablo-style gear sets — four guaranteed-drop legendary pieces each, with bonuses that stack as you collect them. (The mod's ~45 "Item Sets" are loot-drop groups, not wearable sets — don't confuse the two.)

Everything you spend at the Enchanting Table, and what each one is for. All of it comes from sacrificing loot, and each material comes in tiers (0–3) that track biome progression.

Dust

Enchants items. From sacrificing magic items.

Essence

Enchants & augments weapons and tools. From sacrificing magic weapons/tools.

Reagent

Enchants & augments armour and shields. From sacrificing magic armour/shields.

Shard

Augments (rerolls) magic effects. From sacrificing animal/monster trophies.

Runestone

Catalyst to enchant or augment. From sacrificing powerful trophies.

Adventure mode adds Iron/Gold Bounty Tokens (from bounties), and the Enchanter/Augmenter Relics are legacy flavour items.

EpicLoot FAQ

How many magic effects does EpicLoot have?
112 distinct magic effects in the base mod. Of those, 75 roll a value that scales by rarity (a per-rarity Min–Max table); the other 37 are fixed, proc, boolean or NoRoll effects with no value table. Every one is listed and searchable above.
What are the EpicLoot rarity tiers?
Five, in order: Magic, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic. Higher rarity rolls more magic effects — Magic rolls 1–3, Rare 2–4, Epic 3–5, Legendary 4–6. Each tier also has its own item-glow colour (the mod's config defaults are Magic #00abff, Rare #ffff75, Epic #d078ff, Legendary #18e7a9, Mythic #ffac59).
Does the base EpicLoot mod have Mythic items?
No. Mythic is a real tier (added in the Ashlands update) but the base mod ships zero Mythic items or sets — the MythicItems and MythicSets arrays are empty. Mythic must be enabled in the config, and content added via patches, before you'll ever see one.
What legendary gear sets are in EpicLoot?
Two Diablo-style sets, each four pieces: Heimdall's Legacy (tank/shield — 2pc Block Power +40, 3pc Bulwark, 4pc Undying) and Ragnar's Fury (aggressive/regen — 2pc health regen, 3pc Berserker, 4pc Frost Damage AOE). The ~45 "Item Sets" in the mod's data are loot-drop groups, not wearable gear sets.
How do you enchant items in EpicLoot?
